Sybelle Design, represented as "we" or "us," offers this warranty ("Warranty") for products purchased within New Zealand. This Warranty complements the rights and remedies granted to consumers under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (1993) and other relevant laws concerning the covered products.

The Complete Sybelle Design New Zealand Warranty is Outlined Below:

This Warranty is applicable to products purchased NEW and not ex-displayed within New Zealand and is subject to the Consumer Guarantees Act. The Warranty period begins from the date of sale:

  • 5 years for frames in sofas, ottomans, and armchairs for manufacturing defects and workmanship.

  • 2 years for fabric, leather, and foam for manufacturing defects and workmanship, including upholstery furniture coverings, foam, and finishings (stitching, glue, nails, and tacks).

  • 1 year for furniture, homewares, and any other product explicitly identified by Sybelle Design as covered by this Warranty for manufacturing defects and workmanship.

This Warranty encompasses the replacement or repair of any product with a manufacturing or material defect that is not the result of normal wear and tear or a natural characteristic of the material used. It is essential to note that this Warranty is non-transferable and does not apply to products used for commercial purposes.

Cases Where Sybelle Design Warranty Does Not Apply:

This Warranty does not extend to products sold as 'originals' or 'seconds,' items sold overseas, used floor stock (demonstration), repaired products, or products with defects identified before purchase.

Additionally, This Warranty Will Not Apply If:

  • Repairs to a product have been attempted or made by a service provider not approved by Sybelle Design.

  • The product has not been used or maintained following the manufacturer's instructions provided with the product.

  • The customer uses the product abnormally, such as abuse, misuse, dropping, crushing, impact with hard surfaces, exposure to extreme heat (including fire) or cold, improper maintenance, or usage after partial failure.

  • Leather and other animal products fade when used in areas exposed to direct sunlight due to New Zealand's intense UV rays.

  • The product has been modified, incorrectly adjusted or operated, subjected to incorrect or inconsistent electrical supply, or used with inappropriate accessories.

  • The product has been tampered with in any way.

  • The product's serial number, as applied by the manufacturer, has been altered or removed.

Additional Rights Under Consumer Law:

Apart from the Sybelle Design Warranty, our products come with statutory consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. These guarantees grant you rights independent of those under the Warranty.

In cases of a major product failure, you are entitled to:

  • Reject the product and receive a refund.

  • Reject the product and obtain an identical replacement or one of similar value if reasonably available.
